Dear Friends,

Please join us for an Earth Day Festival and Open House on Saturday, April 12 at the Simi Valley Landfill and Recycling Center from 11 am to 3 pm.

We will be taking the slogan created by Simi Valley Girls Scout Troop 878 for the Festival to heart: “It doesn’t hurt to play in the dirt. Plant a tree for you and me.” The Girl Scouts will be handing out trees and providing demonstrations on how to properly plant them.

There will also be a ribbon-cutting ceremony for our new Butterfly Habitat and the Construction and Demolition Recycling Facility, as well as landfill tours, music, complimentary refreshments and arts and crafts activities for the kids.

Please stop by and say hello! To RSVP or for more information, please contact Marisa Magaña at 805-579-7267 x224. Hope to see you on April 12!

Sincerely,

Mike Smith
