WM Supports Meals on Wheels Program
We are delighted to announce that on March 21st, we officially presented Meals on Wheels of Ventura County with a check for $20,000. Nationally and locally, Meals on Wheels is an important program that provides the elderly and the disabled with home-delivered hot meals for little or no charge.
The organization has been a long time cause for our own John Magness, Manager of Community and Municipal Relations. John has long recognized that Meals on Wheels is a crucial safety net that can provide dignity and independence to those who might otherwise be forced from their homes. In Ventura County, volunteers have been staffing and supporting the program for 30 years. WM is proud to support this important program and join with Ventura County and the City of Simi Valley to make senior nutrition programs more widely available.
