Construction and Demolition Recycling
Under Ventura County Ordinance 4357, all C&D projects in the unincorporated area are required to recycle at least 60% of their waste. This ordinance is also being adopted by an increasing number of cities in the County. To assist local businesses, the Construction and Demolition Facility at the Simi Valley Landfill accepts co-mingled C&D waste. Items accepted include non-hazardous materials such as cardboard, drywall, flooring, roofing materials, tile and windows. WM will continue to offer reduced rates for source-separated materials such as dirt, concrete, asphalt and wood/green waste.
